This term we have set up our Aistear play area as a veterinary surgery. Recently, we went on our community outing to a local vets named St. Benedict’s. They let us interview the staff, explore the surgery room and feed their work dog treats. We had great fun learning about injections, weighing scales and animals emotions. As a result of this visit, we will be experts at playing the role of a vet in our Aistear play area. Thank you St. Benedict’s 🙂 This visit was so valuable to the children’s learning as we are investigating animals, learning about weight, telling the time and receptive to other peoples emotions.
